The Listening Course

the unexplored side of communication

Facilitator: Chuck Smith

Whether at work or at home, with family, coworkers or clients, from time to time, most of us are involved in some type of communication breakdown. We either feel misunderstood, like we can’t get our point across, or we’re on the other side—accused of not understanding! We try to be clear, to be a “better” communicator but often come up against the same frustrations. Most of us want more open and connected conversations with our loved ones and a sense of peace and self-confidence in our communications.

We’ve discovered through our work with participants over the years that the common thread in most of these miscommunications is actually a breakdown in listening. More importantly, the common thread in producing peaceful and more effective relationships in all domains lives in our ability to listen.

In this course you will become a more competent listener by learning how to address other peoples’ concerns, both spoken and unspoken. You’ll gain confidence in your ability to be a good listener and enhance all of your relationships, with children, significant other, friends and colleagues. Graduates of this course report greater productivity, more career opportunities and enhanced management skills. After completing the course you will more fully appreciate yourself and others.
